We had our yearly service for our Tankless Hot Water. Sage was our service person and was amazing. He explained everything he was doing, answered questions and was very professional. My service with Preferred Home services was amazing! When I first noticed a leak coming from my house we called preferred home services to come out and find out what the issues were. We first consulted with their technician Maddie Hutchison who was amazing. She found the issue and let us know the different options that we could choose to repair or replace the pipes. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in us deciding on going with a replacement of our existing pipes. This was not the first issue that we have had and being on a slab home our best option was to replace the existing pipes and reroute them to the attic to avoid having the same issues. So Maddie put in for our service and we had technicians here scheduled for a two day replacement the following day. We then met technicians Chris Harbit and Garrett Dunn the first day. Maddie came with them and they all explained what we could expect over the next couple days. Chris and Garrett went to work running the new pipe lines throughout our home and during this time we got to know them. They were very nice and always informed us of what the process was. The second day they had the help of a third technician Taj Elliott who was helping with the project to insure that on the second day while everything was being switched over to the new pipes that we wouldn’t be without water for a prolonged amount of time. In fact the first day we had water the entire day only time we didn’t was to switch over to the new water pipes. Every person we talked to was very knowledgeable and helpful also made the whole experience very smooth and easy. They all credited their great work to their amazing boss Ben Milak(spelling might be wrong on last name, sry) anyways, he’s the reason we had such great plumbing technicians. We wanted to make sure that everyone knows how much we appreciated all their hard work and amazing customer service!! Honestly I would call them for any plumbing issues that I might have in the future. They have an amazing team.

Replaced two toilets shower head and fixed sink and shower faucet

Sage and Alex came out today to give us a quote on maintenance and flushing for a tankless hot water heater. We also had other questions about why it took so long to get the hot water to the faucets and if there was anything we could do. They offered a solution that was not mentioned by any other company we have spoken to. They were very knowledgeable, polite and not trying to just make a sale. We ended up going with their service. It was refreshing to meet these two gentlemen.

Out first floor toilet was gurgling so we called to have it checked. Turned out there was a blockage in one of the pipes to the street. Quickly taken care of by Joe, who was awesome - he’s a great ambassador for your company!

My technician, Freddie, was amazing! He explained everything to me before he did the work. I had to have a new junction box installed and a new light fixture. I also needed a surge protector installed in my breaker box that I didn’t realize I needed. I won’t hesitate to call Preferred Home Services in the future should I need them!

2 BR 2 Bath complete slab (patio) home repipe. Extremely happy with the project results and the professionalism, communication, consideration, respect, and customer service from this company throughout the project and the first class crew that made it happen. Johnny Galivan was project estimator and manager. Nicholas Coley was journeyman licensed plumber lead with Adam and Gabe rounding out the Greer SC based crew. Jeane Robinson from Charleston offices handled the scheduling and financing. All were great and so was the work. 37 year old copper and PB piping (standard 1975 to 1995) was replaced with PEX piping complete from the meter and throughout the home including proper PRV station, shutoff valves, and access panels. I was concerned with amount of drywall patching that could be required with a job like this and the team was fantastic at keeping that to a minimum. Cold weather concerns were addressed with insulation and replacement pipe routing. Preferred Home Services labor and materials warranty also helps ease that concern. Johnny gave me fair and competitive pricing for the work and good advice as I made my decision between Preferred and a less expensive local (smaller) plumber I considered. If considering a similar large project BE SURE personnel and the job lead is licensed! Many smaller plumbing companies can perform the work under the owners license but be aware that potential future insurance coverage (such as a pipe burst) may not be covered if repipe work was not DIRECTLY performed by a licensed plumber, (depending on your insurance). Also drywall work would have been much more extensive and costly with the small plumber option. If you are contemplating a planned or emergency whole home repipe due to old piping age or failures, I highly reccomend you consider this company and crew!

February 2023 update: I had my AC and heating system replaced. James, Raymundo, and their crew arrived on time and explained exactly what would take place. I was very impressed that the first thing they did was protect my floors. They kept me informed throughout the day and kept the work area neat. They performed all tests upon completion and explained the operation of the new system thoroughly. Professional job all around. I highly recommend Preferred Home Services!

Had somewhat of an emergency plumbing issue, that we thought had been resolved based on prior service from other companies (not Preferred Home Services), and they were able to come out within an hour. Dee took his time to correctly diagnose the issue and was able to resolve the same day.

He kept me up to date on what he was doing as he worked through his checklist. Good experience! Called for a stubborn drain. It’s been a problem for years. Preferred Home Services came out the same day, called one hour before arrival, got right to work. Checked plumbing under the house and cleaned out the drain, and cleaned up the mess. They game us a special price of $69 and no service fees. Wow! Yes, I recommend!

Caleb and Dylan have provided us with the electrical and HVAC information and services we needed to correct code and routine maintenance issues at a competitive price. They also take and share pictures of areas of concern and step us through the criticality and costs of any repairs. A recent example was not having full house surge protection at our fuse boxes that was less expensive to solve than buying individual surge protectors. Also, their dispatch service also consistently lets us know when they’re arriving and if there will be any delays.

Revlon & Harold (Plumbers) saved the day! There was a leak from our backyard spigot that supports my in-laws RV during their visit. The spigot valve was leaking significantly. The work took about one hour. The success of the quick repairs was due to proper tools and parts provided by the Plumbers available on their service van. Preferred Home Service (PHS) again was on their game! My forth time using the service with excellent end results. Bravo Revlon & Harold & PHS. Both Technicians were Gentleman & very communicative throughout the fix. Give them a bonus!

Preferred is always right on time! We had a gas leak discovered this morning and within a couple of hours, Felix was here to save the day! From scheduling to dispatch to the technicians, everyone is extremely friendly and attentive. They explain everything in a way that’s easy to comprehend, and they get everything done efficiently and effectively! The prices are a bit higher than some because they get out the same day most times. They’re my first call in a jam every time!

Your serviceman explained the limits of the service offered, did his job, offered other services I declined, and was a gentleman throughout. I was quite satisfied with his visit.

Great company! They are professional and thorough. Thank you to Dennis, Ryan, and Logan for your thorough inspection of my sewer issues, explanation, and recommendation. Tommy White, assisted by Cassie, did the actual replacement of the sewer and water line the first day. There were a couple of issues, out of Tommy's control, but he worked diligently to find a resolution. The job wound up taking two days but he made sure I had utilities before leaving the first day. The next day it was pouring down rain but that didn't stop the work, much to my surprise. Because the rain caused such a muddy mess, they couldn't grade the yard as thorough as needed but he assured me that once it dried out they would be back to finish the grading. I can't say enough good things about Tommy and the crew that worked with him and the quality of work performed.

What a great experience and an amazing product. After 17 years with Waldrop we are happy to be with Preferred Home Services and we feel like the customer matters again and we are not just a means to end for profit. By comparison the Waldrop-built A/C we had installed only lasted 6.5 years and was the wrong size for our house (1200 BTU unit for a 800 BTU space…how do you mess that up?). Also the customer service was night and day, as well as the competence of the technician when compared to Waldrop. Thank you all so much!

The schedulers call and set up a date for my hvac, plumbing and electrical inspections and when the day comes they cancel all or one of them. They have no regard for the customers time. I had an electrical inspection already today. The plumbing inspection has been canceled and rescheduled. The hvac is still on for today. We'll see. The young man that did my electrical inspection was very nice and professional. I think the installation for 5 fire alarms was overpriced.

He also provided understandable information about our system as well as getting us signed up for a service plan that will keep us on top of inspection and future maintenance needs. We have used Preferred Home Services several times now. Honestly, I am amazed at how good their service is. It reminds me of what we always expected 30 years ago. The serviceman communicate clearly when they’re en route, and arrive when expected, neatly groomed, and dressed, and always very pleasant and professional. I am not sure how this company has managed to find such good workers, but they clearly do a great job with training their staff. The person who interests the phone is always very responsive, and they get someone out quickly. I can’t recommend the service enough.

Austin Dodgens was the tech who came and ran our HVAC through a tune-up. He was GREAT! He very graciously answered my questions, took time to patiently explain the benefits of a Hero contract, changed out a part that clearly needed to be replaced, and was totally professional.

Mr. Nick did a very good job. He explained what he was going to do & executed it in a timely manner. Excellent work!

All workers were polite, respectful of house and property. The full HVAC replacement was completed in one day as promised. They explained new thermostats and vacuumed the area that had been covered with drop cloths. We couldn’t have asked for a better crew!

Replacement of ductwork was flawless. On time, well organized, expedient, and excellent cleanup.

Had a wonderful experience working with Jacob Carlton yesterday and today. I experienced a catastrophic water heater failure and Preferred Home Services came right away. Jacob was our technician and immediately addressed the situation. He provided several replacement and pricing options. When I asked Jacob about his experiences working with Preferred, he told me he had never been happier with an employer. Super job and will be certain to use their services again in the future.

Adam was an amazing technician. He was polite, friendly and efficient. He arrived in a timely manner and explained everything when the job was completed.

Chris was great. Honest, reliable and fair. No one ever calls these guys because we want too, and we for-sure don’t like spending the extra money unless it involves improving the home, unless I don’t anyway…but Chris was transparent and reasonably priced and the problem was identified. Service technician was wonderful, as was the scheduler. Good service, but price was steep.

Preferred Home Services is the absolute best. During my initial call the representative was so helpful in getting me scheduled at a time that was convenient for my family. Once the Technician arrived he greeted me very well and was very professional the entire intervention. My HVAC was diagnosed very thoroughly for not only the issue l noticed but for future problems that may occur. He did an absolutely amazing job on providing me detailed information with different quotes and invoices to prepare a more flexible financial situation. He was also knowledgeable with any questions that I had. After the visit I got a follow up call to verify if l needed any additional assistance or any other questions. What a great experience!!! I did a bunch of research on things that could be causing what I thought was my air unit to have a weird smell. I used google and all the positive reviews on it caused me to message Preferred! They responded back within 24 hours and assured me they would be able to come out and take a look. Once they got here they immediately knew it was something else. They still checked what I thought was the issue but when they ruled that out they got to work and had a plumber arrive within the hour. They took photos of all the issues and explained how they could fix it. Currently writing this a week later and super satisfied with the work they did and the timeliness! Highly recommended and also my issue was that my drain line disconnected from the septic tank and was leaking under the house.

The tech was GREAT! He did a great job explained everything. However my service was plumbing not HVAC.

Very professional. Was able to show up quickly, troubleshoot the issue with my leaking water heater (which was actually a leaking pipe inside of the wall!) gave a really good explanation of what needed to be fixed, and got the job done same day. Thanks Matthew!

Garrett came today for regular servicing of my HVAC units. Preferred is always meticulous with service calls, but Garrett seemed to go above and beyond. He diagnosed several issues and felt clear and honest in his assessment of whether they were immediate problems or things to consider for the future. He was neat and very pleasant. And he put up with very good grace having a 10-month kitten curiously "help" him at most steps in the process. Preferred never disappoints.

Griffin came out to do our annual HVAC inspection, and it was a pleasure working with him. He was courteous and professional. He was thorough and did a great job explaining everything from his process before he started to his findings afterwards. I definitely think he’s an asset to the company and would be happy to have him come out in the future.

The price of the repair was more than I expected but that's life. Joe was extremely professional and very nice. He explained the possible causes of the leak and the steps he would have to take to remedy the situation. I would definitely give Joe 5 stars. Great employee! We bought the membership too.
