I called this morning to see if we could get on the service list as we had electrical storm surge energy hit our home. They gave me an appointment today and were promptly here after lunch with a detailed text as to who was coming. Chris G is the penultimate professional and his assistant was too. They listened to what was going on in my house and we decided on a plan. They replaced outlets and switches that were affected, an outside light fixture, checked other outlets and switches and kept their work areas clean. They noticed the electronics that had been damaged and offered to dispose of them properly. We discussed upgrades to be done later and they helped this vertically challenged client reach things to help with getting lights back in working order. Overall, I was very pleased with their workmanship, arrived when promised, and extra professional curtesies they provided. I would highly recommend Preferred Home Services for your homes upkeep and repairs.

Second time we called for assistance at our home.
Again I called to get assistance with some issues at our home. Dispatch sent a technician out within 2 hours of the call. We went over what was absolutely necessary and then talked options.
Our home is 45 years old and some things are just necessary for proper maintenance. We chose to replace the electrical panel in house and in garage, update and add several receptacles, dedicated outlets for water pump, freezer and workshop receptacles. Added GFI’s where necessary and took one off that wasn’t necessary.
John, Kevin and Van arrived when promised this morning and went to work immediately. Of course, since we were replacing the electrical panel and all new breakers, there is no power in the house period. John kept everyone on task as he worked in certain areas. Kevin was tasked with the inside electrical panel which was untangling all the vines (wires) that the original contractor put in 45 years ago. Not a small task! It is now the neatest panel in all of Charleston and it is all correctly labeled! Van, who is working toward getting in his “apprentice” hours in for certification was attentive to John, followed directions well and took on challenges John and Kevin gave him. They all were very friendly and informative but most of all very tidy.
We are now on their maintenance plan and could not be happier with their service. Below are before and after photos of a few of the things done.

To say We are Pleased with Braden and Garrett is an understatement!!! Arrived on time and did Exceptional PROFESSIONAL work!!! They Removed Old & Installed a New Navien 210A Tankless Water Heater with Halo Ion... They did a Major Rebuild of Master Commode... They did a Re-stall of a New Moen Shower Cartridge and did I fail to mention.... Repair guys that were so Respectful of our home as they went in & out for hours!!!!

Fixed a leak underneath the house the same day I called them.

Garrett and Chris were excellent with replacement of septic pump. They made sure to help keep me feeling confident the work was done correctly and in a timely manner and professionally. Plus they were very personable and helped talk through some unrelated life issues and we learned a lot in the process. Ended up actually enjoying the work instead of loathing every minute of the process. A+ for Chris and Garrett!!. The two workers the day before were nice too I believe it was Trey and Dee. The taller guy was more business oriented and I caught an attitude at one point due to stress of the situation and money involved to fix the issue. But he handled it well and they promptly got their work accomplished and on their way! Would have hoped for slightly more money savings from being a monthly member but overall happy with everything!!! Would recommend to others

Scott Hawkins is the best technician and the only reason for the 5 stars and will remain a customer as long as he is at the company and is the only hvac technician I want to service my home. He really takes his time to show you things and educate you on what is being done or any issues. I as a customer appreciate someone who takes their time verses rushing through and just getting the job done and more technicians should be like him. You can tell he truly cares about his customers even if that means putting him behind for the day and that is why I will remain loyal to him!

The service was fast and friendly. The technician also explained everything in detail. I would definitely recommend Preferred Services.

He took the time to explain in both simple terms and in more technical terms what was going on with my unit and what we needed to do to keep it running perfect. HVAC maintenance …. we are part of their regularly scheduled maintenance inspection. They come out 2 times a year to provide preventative maintenance for our HVAC system. We pay $17/month for this service. It’s well worth it.

Corey Breaux is the man! Superior work on our furnace today. Super polite and knowledgeable makes it a no brainer when choosing an HVAC company. I highly recommend using Preferred!

In today’s world every company says they treat their customers like family. When it comes to needing that little extra to go above an beyond is a lot of the time left out from most companies. This company on the other hand truly treats you like family and they prove it through action and communication! As for me and my family we will only use them! I have been in the customer service industry along time and they have my business! I was treated kindly, they put in part for me that was very expensive and honored their word on helping us out! Don’t be fooled by companies saying they treat you like family! I found them! It’s preferred home service!!!! Big shout out to My man Corey Breaux! Chan was very personable and professional with the fall checkup of HVAC. Scheduling was easy and Chan was punctual. Preferred Home Services always does a great job.

Eric D. did a great job replacing an undermount sink and disposal. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He was also prompt on the 3 visits. Communication with the office was great.
